Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
What is WIC?
The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program helps keep your family healthy and strong by providing:
- Wholesome foods for pregnant women, new moms, infants and children under 5 years old.
- Breastfeeding support including help getting a breast pump.
- Individualized nutrition information and feeding tips for your family.
- Referrals to other community programs and health services like lead testing and fee-exempt water test kits.
Do I Qualify?
- Many working families, including self-employed and military families, qualify for WIC. Check updated income guidelines.
- You may also qualify if anyone in your family is receiving FoodShare, Medicaid, or BadgerCare Plus.
- Foster children and Kinship Care recipients under age 5, and foster teens who are pregnant are eligible for WIC.
- Aren’t sure if your income or BadgerCare qualifies you for WIC? Call (715) 532-2210 to talk with a WIC Staff person who will screen income eligibility over the phone.
