The purpose of the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office is to provide professional law enforcement, criminal investigation, search and rescue, civil process, records, dispatch and corrections (jail) services to people who need and/or request assistance.

In joining the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies make its responsibilities their own. All department employees are expected to carry out these responsibilities diligently and courteously and take pride in the service they provide.
