DNR Transient Non-Community Well
Under a contract with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Rusk County Public Health Department administers the DNR Transient Non-Community Well Program, which involves testing drinking water and evaluating systems at public facilities with Rusk County. These facilities include bars, campgrounds, churches, convenience stores, lodging, parks, and restaurants who have privately owned wells.
Area municipal water is also tested for coliform bacteria at Rusk County Public Health Water Lab.
All non-private water test results are reported to the DNR Drinking Water System and are available to the public.
