Broken Arrow Road, Little Jump River bridge improvements in The Town of Marshall, Rusk County scheduled to begin July 8th, 2019
Proposed traffic impacts:
- Construction is scheduled to begin on July 8, 2019.
- During construction, Broken Arrow Road will remain closed to traffic at the Little Jump River. The location is between Marshall Road and Cemetery Road. Motorists will be expected to find their own way around the work site, there is no signed detour.
- Construction is currently scheduled for completion by September 9, 2019.

Public Involvement Meeting for WIS 73 bridge over Alder Creek in Rusk County
- Meeting will provide project information and encourage community feedback.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region is announcing a public involvement meeting to discuss safety improvements for WIS 73 between Thorp and Ingram in the Town of Lawrence, Rusk County. The meeting is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Rusk County Highway Department located at N4711 Highway 27, Ladysmith, WI 54848. The meeting will be conducted in an open-house format.
This project includes:
- Removing the existing bridge over Alder Creek and constructing a new bridge
- Reconstruction of the approach roadway
- Closing WIS 73 during construction and detouring traffic
Construction is currently scheduled for 2020.
- The public is encouraged to attend the February 28 meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. There will be a variety of exhibits and maps available for review at the meeting. Representatives of WisDOT will be on hand to answer questions throughout the evening. Attendees will have the option of making written or verbal comments during the meeting.
